Rabies Vaccine in South Jakarta Reaches 64 Percent

As many as 4,023 animals prone to rabies in South Jakarta have been vaccinated since January up to May. The number of vaccinated animals has reached 64 percent out of target 6,248 animals.

We’ll give the vaccine for free

Kristrisasi Helenandari, South Jakarta Head Sub-dept. of KPKP, said her side gave vaccines for 1,217 animal in last May. Those animals are 680 dogs, 521 cats, two monkeys, and 14 weasels.

“We mostly give vaccines for dog were in Pasar Minggu sub-district by 494 animals, and cats by 149 animals in Mampang sub-district,” she said, Tuesday (6/7).

May, 82 Rabies-Spreader Animals Caught

According to him, result in May was the highest result ever in a month. Usually, her side monthly target is 535 animals.

“For people keeping animals prone to rabies, please tell RT/RW caretaker or urban village apparatus. We’ll give the vaccine for free,” she closed.
